It all started with a yoghurt... In 1952 Vincenzo Belloni opened his Lylag laboratory in the Genoese district of Albaro and decided to produce yoghurt in jars (glass at the time), a food that was little known in Italy at the time. Shortly afterwards Vincenzo added the Virtus brand and in the 1980s chose to relaunch a very important local product in the Genoese gastronomic culture, which was slowly disappearing because of its perishability as a very fresh cheese, prescinsêua: a winning bet since decades later we continue to enjoy the Belloni family's delicious prescinsêua Virtus.
