Cantine Segesta
The history of the winery began in 1876 when Bartolomeo Bregante put his first leudo in the water to market wine throughout the Mediterranean. The headquarters of the winery was in front of the Sestri Levante beach where Bregante's fleet docked.
The 1960s were the time when the winery began to make wine in purity, choosing indigenous grape varieties such as Vermentino, Bianchetta Genovese and Ciliegiolo, anticipating by as much as thirty years the future DOC that identifies the origin of the wines of the Tigullio Gulf.
Nowadays, in addition to the classics already mentioned, the winery's proposal also extends to sweet wines such as Moscato and Passito.
