Voltaggio soft Amaretti 250g

Amaretti handmade by Luca and Giovanna in the local bakery of Panificio Carrosio di Voltaggio, a town in the Genoese area of influence in Piedmont.

With a very delicate, sweet almond flavour, they are characterised on tasting by the pleasant contrast in sensation on the palate between the crunchy surface and the softness of the amaretto interior. The very special appearance that makes these macaroons look like little mounds is due to the shaping still being done by hand: each macaroon, one by one, when placed on the baking tray is pinched with three fingers at the top, because this is the only way to achieve optimal baking.

A perfect dessert to accompany mid-afternoon tea or to bring to the table at the end of a meal together with sweet and dessert wines.
