These chestnut and chocolate biscuits are shortbread biscuits made with chestnuts dried in the traditional way in Val Bormida, in local “tecci”. The “tecci” are stone dryers in which fires are kept lit to naturally dry the chestnuts. These chestnuts are then processed into flour from which biscuits are made. Chestnuts, their collection and processing are part of a tradition protected by the Slow Food presidium.
The flavour is typical of chestnuts, with a pleasant roasted note. The chocolate chips make it all the more delicious and tasty!
