These biscuits are made with chestnut flour dried in tecci, the typical stone dryers of the Upper Bormida Valley. The dried chestnuts of Calizzano and Murialdo are a Slow Food presidium.
They are shortbread biscuits, fragrant and aromatic; they have a toasted flavour with a slight smoky note, since the flour is made from chestnuts dried with the heat and smoke of a wood fire.
Ca di Voi is an agritourism and farm immersed in nature at 750 metres above sea level, in the woods between Calizzano and Murialdo, in the province of Savona. This area is famous for the quality of its chestnuts and their artisanal processing.
